Accidental Video

[The feed starts with a low angled view of what appears to be a Pokémon coming out of a pokéball. A red flash of light emits from the ball as a Sneasel appears. A small noise of surprise escapes the person presumably holding the Pokégear. A small muffled What--? is heard next.]

What kind of demon are you?

[The Sneasel walks closer to the camera and seems to point in the direction of the camera. There is a second in which nothing happens, but then the angle changes as the device is raised to show the person holding it. The shinobi looks down, away from the camera, as though questioning the strange creature. He then looks into the device and sees his own image reflecting back at him. It reminded him of how his fights at the Dark Tournament had been project for the audience to see. Perhaps this was the same idea. If that was the case, there might be someone with information.

He looks back squarely at the camera.]

I’m told that these creatures are “Pokémon”. If anyone is willing to share more information on them, or on this area, please let me know.

[This was all so disorienting that he just abruptly cuts the feed, not knowing who was even out there—friend or foe.]

[Touya turned at the sound of his name, confused and not really expecting someone to know him in this strange place. But then he turned and saw the shock of red hair.]

Jin?

[He stopped in his tracks and Sneasel, about 3 steps ahead of him, stopped to see why Touya had stopped.]

I have no idea. It seems like we're still in Human World, though.

I'm not sure what's going on but...I can't seem to feel my energy at all.

Who else would it be?

[Jin learned the hard way that he had to stop his own momentum now, and pulled up just short of crashing into Touya. The Chatot following patiently behind him took up a perch on his shoulder, preening its wing feathers idly.]

Aye, I know what ye mean. I can feel the wind 'round here clear as anything, but it won't answer me when I be tryin' t' talk ta it. Lil Hanebanashi here ain't much help neither, but he seems friendly enough, anyway.

[He holds his hands out to both brace himself in case of collision and to help Jin stop before he did that.]

I wasn't expecting you to be here as well.

[Though he was glad for it. In a place so unfamiliar and without his energy, he would rather have an ally at his side, Jin most of all. If he had to choose anyone in the all three worlds to have with him, it would be the Wind Master.]

You're not injured anymore either.

Who did this and how...? [Because to him, people suddenly don't wake up without their powers. Especially over-1000-year-old shinobi.

He turned to the Sneasel that came up to stand slightly behind the Ice Master, eyeing up both the chatot and Jin.]

"Hanebanashi"? [He had absolutely no idea if they had names or not.]

[Jin got it, he stopped himself, but it was pretty close.]

Aye, and I wasn't expectin' ye, neither! But boy am I glad t'see ye!

[His ears twitched a little, happily at seeing his little buddy not injured.]

Ye look better'n ye did! All yer blood inside ye now and everything? 'S one good thing t'come outta this, I s'pose, is bein' all up an' about like we didn' jes' get the shit kicked outta us.

Dunno how they did it, but 'm sure that it wasn't that lady callin' herself me mam.

[He and the Chatot both notice the Sneasel. The Chatot pipes up, in a perfect mimic of Jin's voice:]

"Hanebanashi!"

[And Jin laughs.]

I gave him that name, on account o' how he can talk like I can! This'n yers, Toy?

[He felt at his stomach again out of instinct as he looked down.

He was a little resentful about being reminded of getting "the shit kicked outta him". It had been nagging him since he woke up in this place.]

I suppose so. I feel fine.

[Sneasel put down both of her claws that she had had slightly raised in case she needed them and stepped forward to stand even with Touya.]

Interesting...I haven't heard mine talk like that yet. [He supposed she was "his". He wasn't sure how else to address it.

He merely nodded.]

[Jin tells it like he sees it ok ok. They both took an asswhooping, but they got up afterward, and that's what matters, after all.]

Well, glad to hear it, I am, because from the sound o' things we'll be round about here for a good while. And I'd carry ye if I had t', but I fer one am ready t'get the hell outta here soon as possible.

[He and his Chatot both glance at the Sneasel.]

I dunno, it might be somethin' particular t' this kind. [To Sneasel:] 'Ey, can ye talk?

Snea?

[The Sneasel looked at Jin questioningly and then back to Touya.]

Sneasel!

[Touya raised an eyebrow.]

It doesn't appear that it can.

And is there a way out of here? There isn't usually a means of transportation between the worlds except for events like the Dark Tournament.

'Parently not.

Ah well!

[He sticks his pinky finger in his ear flippantly.]

Didn' mean go home home, jes' meant get the hell outta here. Did ye meet that 'Mam' lady? Yeesh, she's a real crazy one, she is.

Though I don't think we were gettin' here out o' any official channels, neither.

I didn't run into her, no, but I did see a note from her.

...Why do you say that? [Not that Jin is ever one to keep his opinions to himself, but it takes a bit for him to call someone "crazy".]

We should get moving then. I'm not sure who or what is around here, though there isn't much to be done if we get attacked. [That last part was said rather bitterly.]

[Jin huffs and crosses his arms over his chest.] Well yer better off that way, anyway. Attacked me with a hairbrush, she did, and not a thing I could do to stop her.

Ceptin' when the hairbrush broke off in me hair, then I hightailed it outta there and then I ran inta ye!

[He's gonna grin at Touya, then.]

Thought I was gonna be all alone round here, I was, and that'd have been a real shame, no doubt about it! I'da missed ye too bad. 'Specially without even the wind fer company and all. Hey, are ye any warmer t' the touch now that we're all stuck humany and such?

[Touya cocked an eyebrow. In his centuries of having known the Wind Master, the thought of someone taking a grooming device to that wild mane was enough to draw a small smirk from the Ice Master.

And there was Jin saying that kind of thing again. He was never sure how to respond when the redhead said things akin to "I'm not sure what I'd do without you", considering they were trained to work as solo as possible.

That question though was interesting.]

I...suppose I am.

[He hadn't really stopped to consider it, since he frequently ignored the fact that his body temperature was much lower than your average demon's.]

[8( don't laugh at his suffering Toy das rude.

If push came to shove, he would've been okay without Touya - not fine, because without Touya and without his wind? Well that's a recipe for one unhappy wind master. Just because he could work solo didn't mean he wanted to - he vastly preferred Touya's company.

Don't mind him, at Touya's answer he's gonna reach out and lay the heel of his palm against Touya's forehead.]

Ye feel warmer! Sure yer not sick 'r nothin?

[Touya swatted Jin's hand away mostly playfully.]

I feel fine. I guess it's a result of coming here. Somehow.

[Though he was rather disturbed at the whole idea of "being turned human" completely. Being demon and missing energy is one thing. This was quite another.]

[Jin knows Touya well enough to recognize when he's being playful, and that's mostly rare enough that he grins wider.]

Same as how we're neither o' us bruised and hurtin', I spose.

[At least they weren't entirely human, if Jin's ears and misaligned tooth were any indication.]

[He had to stop himself from rolling his eyes when he saw Jin's smile grow.]

None of this makes any sense.

[And honestly, he couldn't think of how it could possibly have happened. So many things...being taken to this place, being healed, then having the hole in his stomach magically healed (that would have taken him a couple of days at least to close himself), none of them made any kind of sense--or at least, he couldn't think of one thing to attribute all of these situations to.

...But for now, he would have to deal with it because answers seemed to be in short supply around here. He looked around.]

If there's a way to get back to Demon World...we most likely won't find it just by standing here.
